These terms cover the free Time Waster Chrome extension and timewasterapp.com, provided by JackEllisWeb (“we”, “us”). Please read them before using either.

For a laugh, with you in control

Time Waster is an entertainment and drafting tool. Its replies are deliberately absurd. They are not professional advice or a recommendation to engage with a sender. The website’s example emails are illustrative, prewritten examples, not guaranteed results.

You decide whether to use, edit or send any draft. Review the wording, facts, recipients and context before sending. AI can produce inaccurate, inappropriate, repetitive or unfunny text. The extension never sends email automatically; your mail provider may save inserted drafts.

Use it responsibly

Use Time Waster only with messages and accounts you are authorised to access. Do not use it for unlawful activity, harassment, threats, discrimination, deception or spam, or to infringe anyone’s rights. Follow your email provider’s rules. You are responsible for messages you choose to send and for your own misuse of the tool.

A free tool, provided as available

To the extent permitted by law, the website and extension are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties about accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, compatibility or uninterrupted operation. We do not guarantee that every draft will be suitable, funny or generated within a particular time.

Features may change or be withdrawn. Chrome, its local AI model, Gmail, Fastmail and other third-party services operate under their own terms. We do not control their availability, changes or behaviour. Keep your own copies of anything important.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JackEllisWeb is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill or data, arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or extension. This includes consequences of sending or relying on a generated draft.

You are responsible for your decision to send a message. That does not exclude liability we have under applicable law for our own conduct. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Your content and privacy

Your emails remain yours. Using Time Waster does not transfer ownership of them to us. The privacy notice explains local processing, storage and website analytics.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms for future use and will publish the revised date on this page. Changes do not apply retrospectively. If you do not wish to use the tool under updated terms, stop using it and uninstall the extension. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where lawful.
